Holy cow, it's an update in a somewhat reasonable amount of time! *waches world implode* D:
I had another doctor's appointment today. x_x My primary doctor sent me to some Orthopedic specialists, at the same place I got my xrays last time (which came back not showing anything, by the way). She said she didn't feel right sending me for an MRI without a better idea of what could be wrong, so said that these people would be much more likely to find my problem.
...To digress a little before I get into all the annoying medical jargen, you know...considering it was an office with a high likelyhood of people in severe back/leg/etc pain, you would THINK they'd get some more comfortable chairs in their waiting room. I swear to god, they reminded me of the really old, hard, stained wood, creaky chairs my grandparents had in their dining room. You know the ones that were supposed to be good for your posture (back in the 50s), but actually do more harm then good? >_>;; I had to wait out there for over 20 minutes, and I swear I though I would die. @_@;;
I'll skip over the various complaints about small things like the rediculous wait times and all (although here's a fun fact for you. When you're already anxious about things and getting twitchy about waiting for someone? Sound of a bone saw/cast removing saw suddenly going in the next room is NOT comforting to hear. Felt like I was in a bad horror movie suddenly.), and get on with it. I'm sure no one likes hearing me complain about this as it is without needless filler, lol.
The doctor lady was nice, kinda young (actually, she was the doctor's assistant or something. Which means she's qualified in everything but performing surgery), but generally pretty cool. She poked me a few times, asked me the same questions I've been asked about 5 million times since all this started (so help me, if ONE MORE person asks me if I'm pregnant in the new week, I swear to Ra, I am going to murder something), and.... sent me for xrays. Again. Because apparently last time, they forgot to take ones of my back, which is where she was convinced all this was originating from.
This time at least I didn't have to go anywhere, since they had an xray only a room away.
Anyeway all that went pretty quick, and when I went back to the room, she explained the xrays from before were fine and had no sigs of any issues...and then showed me the one of my back.
Which apparently, is pretty damn screwed up.
She told me my spine is too straight (which I find hysterical for some reason, since I've always been scolded for terrible posture), which according to her is caused by some serious muscle spazims. Pointed out some other things I can't recal/were too complicated, noted that it seems like I've developed a very mild case of arthritis in my lower back, and that while she doesn't have a 100% guarantee, it's almost certainly a herniated disk, possibly combined with a pinched saiatic nerve.
*sigh* So I'm going in for an MRI to get the final diagnosis, possibly within the week, and after that... well, right now I'm looking at a lot of physical therapy. x.x;; But I guess we'll see.
Oh well, as long as I regain the ability to leave the damn house, I won't complain. T__T;; I miss the outside world...
.....And now for something completely different (to break up all the emo).
